Our History

In 1994, a group of 5 persons constitutes in Casalgrande (RE) Tecno Italia S.r.l., company of the sector technology for the ceramic industry, specialized in the production of rotary printing machinery. Here is born ROLL PRINT, the first rotary printing machine with screen cylinder without ribs.

In 1996 Tecno Italia, with a staff of 20 employees and moved to Formigine (MO), started his adventure in the world inaugurating the first foreign laboratory in Mexico.

The process of technological development in Tecno Italia is brilliant and the results are fast: ROLL PRINT becomes the sole machine on the market to use both screen and silicone technologies, increasing the productivity, improving the print quality, entering into the structures and introducing the Random printing mode.

The following years are a steady growth: ROLL PRINT leaves space for the most recent MULTIROLL, version Evolution and subsequently REVO, which introduces improvements such as a more stable driving unit thanks to wider belts, the possibility to use machines in battery, the use of more cylinders on the same machine (multi-size), the introduction of the single keyboard and the “ralla” (single lasting bearing for the movement of the cylinder), the decoration with powders through the kit TECNO ROLL DRY.

In 2000, in a good moment for the whole ceramic division, Tecno Italia establishes the production record with 85 machines per month, speeding up the development process and opening foreign laboratories in Brazil, China, Spain, Thailand, Indonesia and Poland. At the same time the company creates a structure able to supply to customers a complete service, constituting Tecno Laser Srl, satellite company specialized in the production and engraving of silicone cylinders, belts and laminates.

2003 is another date hard to forget. Tecno Italia buys what now is the current head office in Sassuolo (MO), building a complete test line, useful for its partners to run tests and to try concretely the abilities of the company.

Tecno Italia develops beforehand the vertical development of the laminates, starting with the dry application technology designing COLOR DRY VERTICAL. The printing support will no longer be called cylinder, but  laminate (or printing belt if used on wet application).  In this period DRY application is the trend of the market  and Tecno Italia carries out the project of COLOR DRY PRESS, a system for the decoration in the press, the first device which makes available the use of four high definition colours, to achieve natural and smooth products, while maintaining good production rhythm.

In 2005, with a staff that has reached 70 units, Tecno Italia completes another step forward introducing SILICON VERTICAL. The first machine for wet applications vertically developed, today  available in different versions. SILICON VERTICAL has proved to be a versatile, precise and fast machine, suitable for all types of production machine (also combined with digital lines), like very centered designs (marbles and wall tiles) or shaded materials (classic and structured floors).

In 2010, in the middle of the world economic crisis, Tecno Italia set out on the market the ROTO VERTICAL, the first single head printing machine with vertical development. ROTO VERTICAL proves to be a simple and extremely effective machine, easy to be moved and convenient in maintenance. Suitable also for the production of big size, meeting the needs of all the ceramic sector.

In 2012, in occasion of Tecnargilla of Rimini, Tecno Italia presents the prototype DIGITAL GLAZE, machine for the glazing of tiles which aims to significantly reduce the usual waste, by removing wastes of outside dimension’s labour, washing and aspiration, allowing considerable savings of glaze.

Following 2 years are dedicated to intensive research and development to officially present the new arrivals at Tecnargilla 2014, DIGIGLAZE and DIGIGRAPHIC.

After the first positioning in plants of major groups, the tests continue to improve further this exclusive application system.
