Tecnoitalia, operating in the world of research and technological innovation, participates in the “Glazetile” project for the development of a revolutionary digital printer for ceramic tile glazing. This project was born in cooperation with a company of consolidated innovative tradition in the development of control systems and allowed to deal in an original way with the problem of glazing ceramic tiles through digital Drop on Demand (DOD) deposition of water-based enamels.
DigiGLAZE 4.0 is a digital machine based on Drop On Demand (DOD) technology. It uses traditional water based glazes. The main features are:
- No pollution on firing
- No nozzle clogging
- No need of suction systems
- DigiGlaze 4.0 allows a 30-45% reduction in glaze waste compared to traditional technology, with a production speed up to 65 m/min.
Horizon 2020 (H2020), the Framework Program of the European Union (EU) for research and innovation for the 2014-2020 period, awarded the “Digiglaze” project with funding to support the first step necessary for the development of the project.
